The Players

The Wyld Olde Souls are a mystical psychedelic folk band featuring ethereal female vocals and ancient vibes.  With influences ranging from 12th century courtly love songs to Jefferson Airplane to Fairport Convention to Loreena McKennitt, The Wyld Olde Souls have created an other-worldly sound that's all their own, linking the music of the past with the music of the millenium.

Their debut CD, a six-song EP entitled Poems from the Astral Plane, was released on Parallel World Records in 1998. Parallel World is an independent label specializing in psychedelic music from the 1960s-present.

About Poems from the Astral Plane, Tom Rapp of the legendary underground folk group Pearls Before Swine says, "This record has strong images, some scary percussion, and sounds that range from whispers to windchimes. It's good to see that someone is still exploring folk and psychedelia and doing it so well."
